Service Description

Embrace New Frontiers in Drawing and Artmaking This course welcomes all, whether novice or returning artist, on a journey to expand your artistic vocabulary and ignite a lifelong love for visual exploration. We'll build your confidence and skillset by: Demystifying core drawing principles through engaging, step-by-step projects. Challenging you with new materials and techniques every week, including delving into color theory and layering. Nurturing your inner artist through weekly student-led discussions, peer feedback sessions, and inspiring artist model presentations. Equipping you with an “art toolbox” for personal expression, honed through experimentation and playful exercises. Culminating in the creation of 1-2 final art projects that reflect your unique artistic voice and chosen medium. We won't rush this adventure – art is a lifelong journey, not a destination. While you'll gain substantial progress by the end of 8 weeks, the true reward lies in the joy of discovering, learning, and expressing yourself through art. This course is more than just drawing; it's a gateway to: Seeing the world through an artistic lens, appreciating the wonders around you. Developing a confident voice, whether analyzing art in a gallery or simply discussing it with friends. Embracing new perspectives and approaches, inspired by renowned artists and fellow students. Building a foundation for artistic growth, equipped with skills and confidence to embark on your own unique artistic journey. So, open your mind, grab your pencil (or any other tool that speaks to you), and get ready to create!
